West Winds

This property comes as advertised. It is very well equipped and very comfortable. It is about a 15 minute drive to Oval Beach (terrific beach) and the same to Saugatuck. We took long walks on the road that runs along Lake Michigan. The kitchen is very modern and all of the appliances, dishes, serving pieces that one needs. The Weber propane grill functions well. The added amenities of a hot tub and fire pit were much appreciated. Karen was very responsive whenever I texted her with a question or for information. All in all, I highly recommend this property!

Stayed for 3 nights with 4 of my siblings and their spouses. The place was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to hang out. We loved having use of the hot tub.

Karen was so friendly, quick to respond and address any and all questions or concerns we had at every turn. She is a great host! Unfortunately we did encounter a handful of issues that prevent me from giving a 5 star rating but Karen was very receptive to feedback and she gave every indication she was addressing the issues we brought to her attention. The house is in a beautiful location, but it's important to know that there is no longer access to the public beach just across the street. There are private stairs at several different spots so it was like forbidden fruit for us!

Danielle, Thank you for brining those issues to my attention. I was able to get them all addressed before the next guests checked in. I'm sorry the public stairs were not accessible. With the high water and erosion this year, it has been hit or miss. Have a great fall!

With this being our 1st time renting, we were a bit skeptical, but we were blown away at how this felt like a home away from home. As soon as we walked in, you can see the cleanliness was amazing. Everything was stocked from towels to toilet paper. She even had coffee! Karen was very easy to communicate with and answered all of our million questions. We can't wait to re-book again and enjoy the whirlpool, firepit and awesome shower in the master bedroom!

Great area and location. Close to some Great Lake Michigan beaches. Home is spacious and loaded with kitchen amenities. Just bring your favorite dishes to make and all the tools are provided. The only negative we experienced was there were no extra bed sheets. We only used one of the pullout sofa beds and could only find an extra bottom sheet. There was no top sheet. I don’t know what we would have done if we needed the extra sleeper sofa. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows though. Also, we had to pick up paper towels and dishwasher pods as only one of each was provided. But, a great time was had my my entire family. Thanks Karen!

We had a great time, 6 adults and 4 kids, plenty of space for everyone. We spent a lot of time in Saugatuck, Oval beach is beautiful and the little downtown area is so cute. We rented a pontoon boat and cruised the Kalamazoo river. Beautiful neighborhood, and we loved making campfires and enjoyed the hot tub!!

The house was perfect for us for a long weekend ! It was exactly as advertised and had a great location.
